Every Child Deserves Capable Representation
As of July 31, CILA and other organizations across the country lost federal funding to provide services to unaccompanied immigrant children and their advocates. With access to protection narrowing, increased immigration enforcement, and youth facing increasingly complicated proceedings while also potentially losing access to counsel— CILA’s work is more important than ever.
The loss of funding threatens CILA’s training and technical assistance services that practitioners have relied upon for over a decade. We need donors like you to help us raise $100,000. CILA serves both legal service providers and pro bono attorneys who are representing children in immigration-related proceedings nationwide. CILA began operations in late 2015.
